The return of LJ-suckage

Whee! When I hit 25k I have promised myself smut of some sort.
Okay, so basically LJ, having failed at an outright banning of people they deem as 'guilty' of doing things that risk them as a service (ie, fans who are writing/drawing things they are getting pressure to remove), they are now doing it by stealth. fanarchive, fans are now organising to create a new journalling service, run by fans for fans, which can't be controlled by outside people. There's a lot of information out there, so here are some useful links, if you want to read up on it. I'm definitely keeping track of all of this.
