You may also find this amusing, if you like the idea of Snape and Wonka in the same comic strip!
I've been listening to the Goo Goo Dolls' Iris for a few days now when I'm on the computer (not on constant repeat, when it comes around!) and the opening chords etc always catch me right inside. They sound so pretty and perfect, I love it. Anyone who doesn't think they know this song probably does, but I urge you to go find it online anyway - if I could, using Google, so can you! It's one of those songs that I feel has meaning, that I really relate to. That's always been one of my criteria for really loving a song. I hate all the meaningless trash that gets bandied around these days. If there's no feeling, then what's the point?
I'm going to list some of my favourite songs here, and I'd like to know other people's, if you'd oblige :)
One thing I'd like to stipulate is that often depressing songs seem to have more feeling in them, so many are shown here. This does not mean I'm especially depressed (at least compared to some of my depressions), or that I only like depressing music. Okay? Sorted ^-^
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Simple and Clean - Hikaru Utada (from the game 'Kingdom Hearts')
Hero - Chad Kroeger (from the 'Spiderman' OST)
Gifts and Curses - Yellowcard (from the 'Spiderman 2' OST)
Bleed for Me - Saliva (from the 'Daredevil' OST)
The Dark is Rising - Mercury Rev
Touched - Vast
Numb - Linkin Park
The Luckiest - Ben Folds
Hospitality - Funeral for a Friend
Streetcar - Funeral for a Friend
Bedshaped - Keane

I apologise for any repeats of bands, but those are the ones that I'm presently listening to over and over. And which have meaning, obviously. Sometimes the meanings that I give them don't appear to have much to do with the actual lyrics, but hey... :)
