Today would have been my mother's 50th birthday. We were going to have a barbecue (sp?) either last weekend or this one coming, the first time she ever consented to doing something where people would find out how old she was. Dad was going to buy her a tank-driving lesson for her present, because she thought it would be fun to drive a tank when we saw them in France on holiday.

I miss her.
