It's fair to say I get pretty attached to some of my clothes.
My favourite pair of shoes of all time were these clunky, chunky heels with a rounded toe and were just so preppy and comfortable that I wore straight through the inside of the shoe to the hard base of the sole. They had been glued back together so many times that the rubber was peeling away, and yet I kept wearing them until one of them started splitting in half, because I loved those shoes SO DAMN MUCH. And there was no chance of getting another pair the same, because I'd had them for years.
My most comfortable, versatile pair of jeans is wearing out.
I mean, do H&M even make these particular jeans any more? Because I need ones which are EXACTLY THE SAME, OKAY? EX. ACT. LY. I have two pairs and I'm sure the other one must be going to go the same way soon quite apart from the ragged bottom edge where the other pair is slightly too long and got stepped on too much, and oh my God what if I can't find any other grey jeans that actually fit me and look good without digging in or needing to be dressed up?
IT'S LIKE TRYING TO FIND A NEW BOYFRIEND BUT EVERY BOY YOU MEET IS ANNOYING AND NOT AS GOOD AS YOUR OLD BOYFRIEND.
Argh OCD I hate you sometimes. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T JUST BUY NEW JEANS.
