Having one of those nights where I suddenly remember terrible, shameful fic I read about ten years ago (when I was 14 OMG) and getting the urge to read it again, but having absolutely no chance of finding it because I barely remember the fic, let alone the title, author, any pertinent words to google or where I read it. Goddammit.

On the other hand, in Waterloo station today me and [livejournal.com profile] krazykipper saw Bradley James walking through the station in front of us! We possibly sort of followed him for a few steps to a) confirm it was him and b) stare obsessively but we didn't approach him at all, just let him get on with his day. Then ten minutes later when we went back in to get a drink for [livejournal.com profile] wickednotevil we saw him again sitting on a bench looking uncomfortable like someone else had recognised him and bugged him in the meantime, and felt all virtuous but excited. Awesome day.

ALSO SHUT UP YOUR BLOODY DOG, NEIGHBOUR PERSON, IT IS ONE IN THE MORNING, JEEZ. Ahem.

Gotta be honest, I'd've probably not been able to resist the temptation to just politely go up to him and say, "excuse me, but aren't you..?" Despite having met him at a couple of signings and events. I know.

Having just had a pretty sleepless night, I thoroughly sympathise with you about the neighbour's dog. Grr.

My thing is, and always has been, that if I was going to meet a famous person I totally adore, I want it to be in a social situation and not a fannish one, so I can approach them as a human being and not as a fangirl. It also seems more humane to me not to bother them, because I can't imagine how much I would hate it if I got recognised everywhere I went.

If the bloody dog does it again I'm going to complain to them. One night I can let go, as long as it doesn't repeat. Our building has a covenant that if someone is bothered by your pet and complains about it then you can't have it in the building, but I don't want it to come down to that.

aw, you saw bradley*-* I wouldn't have bothered him either, it's so weird and impolite and awkward all around. but you know, admiring from a distance, that's okay.

I had the same thing a few years ago, where I wanted to find a fic again that I had read at 15 or something. thankfully I found it again, but it really took me a while.

These fics were probably so goddamn awful that they have been swallowed up by a pit of vile things long ago. I'm not sure I want to find them (except I totally do.)

Now, if only I can meet Bradley in a casual social situation and have a regular person conversation with him, then he will totally fall in love and marry me. Obviously this is what will happen (unless I meet Benedict Cumberbatch first.)

I don't understand why everyone can't be like us, do the excited fan thing out of earshot where it doesn't annoy them!

But :D :D We saw him and it was awesome.
