...today my Dad threw away some of my shoes. He took them to the dump. Because he apparently thought they were Mum's, despite the fact none of her shoes remained in the house unless we'd claimed them.

I will admit that I hadn't worn them in a while. But that was because they were SUMMER SHOES, and it has yet to be consistently summer long enough for me to rescue them from the old house.

Needless to say, he is buying me new shoes. Probably work shoes, as I need those more than sandals right now.

Oh, that's so unfortunate. I'm sure your father must feel horrible, it's good that he will be able to make it up to you with new pairs. =)

I've only just managed to rescue some stuff that he was going to throw away despite previously offering to let me have it when I move out, like my Mum's brass cooking scales and such. I swear, he has a sieve for a brain sometimes. But I love him anyway.
