taharielSo I went to see Transformers by myself, because I had a sudden freak-out about whether it would still be on in the cinema when we got back from France since it has such crap times already, and it ruled! The CG was amazing, really good. I may even buy it on DVD, it was that good. Which surprised me, even though I had been looking forward to it. Shia LaBeouf is really very good!
HOWEVER. I saw the trailer for the movie they are making of The Dark Is Rising - and they have MURDERED it. I swear to God, if the movie is like the trailer is selling it to be, just, NO. It's A CLASSIC. DO NOT BUTCHER IT, MOVIE PEOPLE. (Cough cough, early Harry Potter filmmakers, I am looking at YOU.)
Okay okay, not ruin per se, but still, I wanted... more. There was this perfect moment at the end of the fifth part, where Jekyll and Hyde are in perfect sync and their eyes are bright green and it is AWESOME AND PERFECT, and they didn't do that in this last part. I did like it, a lot in fact, but though there were fantastic parts the tacked-on ending with his mother made it suck ass. It ruined my Jekyll buzz. Dammit.
