Remembering of course that 100,000 words is a total guesstimate - I really won't know how many words this is going to be until it's finished - I've still written 40,521 words of this novel, and I'm still going! I'm so happy! Even if I do keep getting stuck in these tricky middle bits. Trying to continue plotlines without setting them up or tying them up is hard, yo.
Anyways, I have at least five backups at any one time for my writing. It sounds crazy, but at least I'll always have a copy, right? I back it up every day after I stop writing, in at least three places. Crazy, yes. Safe, also yes.
