It's been slow going for a few days - not sure why, think I probably shouldn't have given myself a night off when I did. Nonetheless, I seem to still be going and I've written a good amount tonight, so I'll take it as a win!

19K is pretty impressive. My favorite professor said that writing every day during a certain point in the day is the best way to force yourself to write. Then again, somedays you just need time to relax and not force the words out.

That's pretty much what I do, actually - and it really helped me to start writing properly again. Every night about 9.30pm or so I make myself stop doing whatever else and get some writing done, and my discipline seems to have returned as a result.

Another thing I found helped was that at first I made myself physically move to a different place to write so that my brain associated it with working. I don't need to do that any more though (which is nice from a laziness POV!)
