So apparently when they set up my direct debit in July they forgot to mention it was too late for that to send my august payment out so it didn't go and I am in arrears. I was in the US at the time which is why I didn't notice. FML.

Tell me about it. If I'm honest I had already decided I can't afford to go to Beijing next year whatever happens, but this means my 'fallback fund' is about to get hit up sooner than expected.

I had sort of hoped to maybe go on a weekend somewhere wild and remote with that money, but it looks like that was a bit of a pipe dream.
