Oh I'm definitely late to the party on this one, but it was WONDERFUL!
Making something forbidden is the best way to immediately obsess over it of course, and you've portrayed this so well:
Very slowly, he shifted his foot so that the very tip of his boot pressed lightly against the sole of Kirk’s, under the table where no-one could see, so lightly that the Captain could not possibly feel it, and felt daring.
It reminds me of the Victorian era when women had to be totally covered up, and so their ankles and wrists became 'erotic' as they were generally the only bits of skin that were shown by accident or other. Hmm, strange simile to draw with this story I know, but I guess that's just where my mind decided to go.
