Tonight I finished knitting my shawl, for those who are interested! It's maaaaaybe a little bit on the short side, but I can't afford to buy any more wool for it, so. Hopefully my step-mum will like it, anyway! I'm currently halfway through beading the other end of it, but I really have to go to bed now. However! Today's rec awaits!

sam_storyteller's fic always impresses me with the sheer depth and subtle imagination of the writing, and this fic is no different. The delicacy of the worldbuilding - never using exposition, but building the information into the story framework so that we learn without realising it - is the great strength of this White Collar fic. 'Prison magic' - and as far as the story makes us aware, it is only in prison that magic comes - is made both dark and beautiful, and the way it tilts the familiar characters into new shapes while retaining their familiarity is a triumph of prose. Seriously, you won't be disappointed.


Never Leave A Trace by sam_storyteller. Summary: Neal Caffrey can steal souls. Peter Burke has two shadows. Everything's normal...except when it isn't.

The other day two ideas that had never gone anywhere suddenly snapped together like jigsaw puzzle pieces in an internet game. One of them might be the dragonbird idea. And so possibly I might be developing a new novel project. Watch this space :D

...I really, really need to find that old high school notebook that I suspect has been long since thrown out.

Totally awesomely cute and in-character, something that very rarely happens, especially in a fandom like Inception where every character is a badass.


Sort of Revolution by pyrimidine. Extract: Before today, Eames had this ridiculous idea in his head that Arthur slept standing up, and ‘powered down’ seemed a more appropriate phrase than ‘slept’. This is one of the few times in his life that Eames has enjoyed being wrong and he has no idea why.
