Argh, I have Writer's Itch! That long-hated phantasmic sensation that creeps into your brain and whispers sublimely in your ear of tapping keys and words evolving into long strings of perfect prose...

...and if you can't tell I'm suffering from it, just take a look at that last sentence.

Goddamn it. I've sworn to myself I won't let myself get sucked in until after the exams, but that's twenty-five days yet. And I a) really want to write and b) really want to go back and edit DLS!

I'm thinking, actually, that I'll probably go back to Irith. I have a character for a separate story fermenting in my brain but he's going to have to wait for a while.

I joined a great writing community today - full of people who have a great community spirit, really want to write, encourage each other, cirtique each other, help each other with research... today I took three 'classes', on one firearms, one on melee fighting and one on sensory perception. I know more about handguns than I ever did before, and it's really useful stuff too.

Also, in case anyone feels they have time on their hands, I'd like at some point (maybe over the summer?) either as I'm editing or before for somebody to give me an honest critique of DLS. As in don't pull your punches (although please say nice things as well as bad.) It needs work but I really want to make a go of it, if I can.
