OH MY GOD SGA YOU KILL ME RIGHT NOW OH MY GOD.

Just caught up on my SGA and watched 'The Ark' and 'Sunday'.

OH MY GOD SUNDAY.

Seriously, I knew Carson was leaving and all, but I didn't know that this was IT and that he was going to DIE and that he was going to be the most fantastically amazing person ever and that all of a sudden I would love him this much because. He was so brave and heroic and he really stuck to his guns with his patient and gave his life trying to save this guy even though he was risking himself. Before when I knew he was leaving I was a bit like 'meh, okay' but now I love him so much. And if he had to go, what a way to go - Paul McGillion owned this episode. Oh my God.

Other commentary: yay, Elizabeth and someone who isn't John! Boo, Rodney and Katie - how awkward was that? That's not Rodney, he is not that nice even when he wants to be, and eventually he will bite her head off. I like Katie more in this than in 'Duet', but still, DIE KATIE DIE RIGHT NOW. SGA, stop trying to reaffirm your heterosexuality! I mean, for God's sakes, Lorne PAINTS.

And also the thing with John asking Ronon if he had a boyfriend. (I like what rageprufrock said about Tao of Rodney, looking back from the POV of this ep - if CARSON is Rodney's BFF, but Rodney asked JOHN to look after his funeral arrangements and his sister and all of that, therefore John is totally Rodney's wife.)

News in brief: Radek RULES. Lorne, WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR FIRST NAME? John, YOU USED TO BE MARRIED WTFOHMIGOD! Elizabeth, go out with pushy guy just because. Teyla, please make it clear to Ronon that you don't want John, you want him?

For people who don't know: Jewel Staite, Kaylee in Firefly, is going to be playing the new Atlantis doctor. (She also played the wraith girl in S2 who tried to kill them all and infected John with the buggyness.)

But most of all: NO CARSON DON'T DIE! Except it was SO BEAUTIFUL so it can't unhappen. So. Um. Catch-22, really.

I'm up to The Game, so these are the next two I have to watch and I can't wait.

The idea of Rodney/Katie just doesn't swing with me. It didn't in Duet - and baring a mention of her in one of the other eps (if they were even a little together, where was she in Tao?), I just can't see them together. I totally join your DIE KATIE DIE.

Can't wait to see Lorne painting. God, I love him so much.

How on earth are we supposed to believe that Rodney and Carson are best friends? Plus, as you said, Rodney asked John to look after all that stuff if he died in Tao. Maybe Rodney felt guilty for not spending a lot of time with Carson when he always meant to, so something.

Can't wait to see the eps and what are they going to do to us at the end of the season, I wonder?

I Love Carson too and this episode just reaffirmed it and all of it makes sense now and the bitchiness between Carson and Rodney makes their friendship perfectly reasonable. Radek does rule! It was so beautiful.
