Thank you so much - I'm really pleased you liked it. I really tried to get in the alien culture without it becoming overwhelming, so I'm glad that worked for you. I can't take credit for the premise, though, that was all jade_dragoness's fantastic prompt.
As it is, I actually cross-posted the fic (with a fake-cut to this post) to kirkspock yesterday, and as far as I'm aware there were no problems with the post? The only reason I didn't post it directly is that I wanted to collect the comments more centrally so I could moon over them like a lovestruck idiot (and possibly cackle like Gollum, though those reports have never been proven with convincing evidence.)
