So I spent about five hours yesterday on the AOL Online Help thing, both talking to a real person and not, trying to get Loretta to use the wireless internet. For some reason we could connect to the network but not use the net with it. Eventually got to a point where they told me to take off the encryption, which I did, and now it works but anyone could access our network, and my internet chucked me off so I lost the conversation. By that time it was three o'clock and I hadn't had lunch yet so I gave up for now, but I'm going to have to find out how to make it work with the encryption as well, because something in there is obviously buggered.
Called all my (now ex-) tutors to tell them about my results. Mr Murray, my biology tutor, was most perplexed at how my results could not have improved (as was I, to be honest) and has offered to come over when I get the papers back to go through them with me to try and work out what I did wrong. Because I was dumbing down, really I was, and that should have fixed it. But apparently not.
Went to the Web and Mini Comics Thing with Susan, Steve and Cazzy on Saturday - great fun :) Punched Steve in the hip because I'd been cutting out stickers for an hour before somebody realised he'd printed them on the wrong side of the paper and they were useless. He apologised profusely, but I'm a violent person and felt better after hitting him (sorry, Steve!) He bought fish and chips for dinner as a 'thank you for helping us today' thing, so yummy :)
Also, a guy called Aaron who was very nice (but needs a haircut) said, as he was leaving, that it was very nice to meet us, but especially me, and if he was a bolder man he'd ask for my number. I didn't hear him at first so had to ask Cazzy (embarrassing enough) and then did my deer-caught-in-headlights impression, but then he was gone and so I was embarrassed and hadn't given him my number. May have to rectify this.
