New project: Hand of Glory

I'm setting myself a word target for this one, since it worked so well for me with DLS and, since I haven't used it again, no big project has been carried out very far at all. So I'm gonna post these word meters here again, because being able to post good increases is a sort of buzz for me that's encouragement as well.

Some of you already know a bit about this project, and some of you have read bits of it (or all I've got so far, in some cases - thanks guys), and I hope it's good. People seem to like it, anyway, though the paranoid part of my brain says 'well, you are my friends...'

Do you know what I mean when I say it's hard to tell whether something you wrote yourself is good, because it's too prominent in your mind that you wrote it, and so you see all the flaws you might not in someone else's work? It makes it hard to know whether things are worth doing.
