I just love that line... it's half the way he sings it and half the meaning behind the words. I've always really tuned in to that sort of quiet desperation in songs, I don't now why but it resonates with me. There are so many good male singer/songwriters at the moment! I think I'm going to have to buy that album acoustic love, it's an anthology of various singer/songwriters.
Today is the first of December and Plant Baby (my amaryllis plant which I am growing from bulb) is getting big! I was so surprised when I saw it last night as I was drawing my curtains that I said, "Plant Baby, look at you!" and said it out loud where anyone could hear and make fun of me.
Been watching Sliders - bought the boxset of seasons one and two from work since I got paid because I'd been watching it for the four weeks I've worked there and finally could afford it. Also bought a half-price Terry's Chocolate Orange (and ate it.)
I've had an idea for a novel (again, you ask incredulously) but I think I might be able to carry this through as I've thought of a plot where lots of incidents can happen without me having to consider very hard all the time what I should do next (which makes me get bored and leave things.) It's sort of a tie-in to Dirty Little Secrets but with a different character as main and Finn and Eli involved later on. Might be fun!
