So I finally got Final Fantasy XI up and running! Steve was very helpful with doing the graphics card with me and stuff, I'm very grateful ^-^ The long and short of it is that I won't be online as much as I used to be since I'll be playing FFXI as well, but if you want to get hold of me/see if I'm online just email me - I have to have AOL open anyway to be connected to the net for the game and I hear it tell me I have email so I can go look quite easily!

I'm limping! We went to Alton Towers and my ankle was hurting at the end of the day but by the next morning and all the way through today as well (two days) I've been having to limp around. I'm not sure what I've done to it but it's not fun.

Waah, it won't let me log all the way on on FFXI - the lobby server only gets halfway there then I get an error - and I wanna plaaaaaaay *flails*

I tried to call Susan but she's not at home >-< *flails some more*

My 'Key' Story

I found this cool site on the net called 'Palace of the Keys', which basically is a community writing site with a shared mythos (if that makes sense to anyone...)

The basic idea is that one person creates the character of the 'Key' and another writes fiction about him. It's always a him, because Keys are male sex slaves (it's really not as pervy as it sounds...) Some of it is very well written - usually it's more about relationships than anything, which everyone knows is what I like ^-^ I read this very good one set in Russia called 'The Phoenix Key' which was sweet (at least eventually.)

So anyway, I applied to be an 'Owner' (someone who writes the story) for a Key called the Mystic Key. Basically, he can see/talk to ghosts, and gets glimpses of the future. (I'm hoping they let me change his name, as 'Mystic' is, frankly, a cop-out.) Anyways, I came up with a plot for him which I'm going to tell you about (because I'm like that!)

Basically, his new Master is Xander Levinsky, who is an American cop. His father bought the Key for him because he's been mourning his dead partner for two years (his partner, Luca Vinacchia, was also his lover and the love of his life.) He's been putting himself in death's path ever since, and basically they want him to snap out of it. Problem is, he's not ready to. The other problem being that Luca's ghost has been following him around trying to keep him alive the whole time, and the Key can see him. So you have this three-way dynamic going on, whereby you have Luca trying to get the Key to help Xander, the Key trying to ignore Luca, and Xander having no idea what's going on. Luca can't move on until he knows Xander isn't going to kill himself. What will happen? Wait and see... ^-^
