Nov. 22nd, 2005 08:12 amI'm probably not going to keep on at WHS after Christmas, even if they offer it me.
This sounds quite strange, because you all know I like my job. But I've decided that, long-term, the hours are going to drive me nuts.
9:30-6 I could live with. It's not so bad. But I'm expected to work every other Saturday, with Thursday off as a substitute, and that's no good, really, because it's not even slightly restful having two separated days like that. If they'd told me Wednesday and Thursday off, I'd work Saturday and Sunday and think nothing of it. But I'm so tired this week after not having a weekend.
And they're not terribly flexible, to be honest. Not usually a problem, but it could be. And I want January to concentrate on studying for my exams, not try to do that around work. So...
