Always a writer I greatly admire, this is possibly my absolute favourite of copperbadge's fics. Clever, charming, and totally attuned to the right sort of mood and tone; just a real masterpiece of writing. You'll love it. Also, John Sheppard has a robot brain.

My mobile has been on and not at all off since Tuesday night now and so I am proud of myself for remembering and charging it and stuff. Hoo-ha!

'Course, I'll have to remember to turn it off or silence it or something during lectures, then turn it back on...

Everyone on my floor has turned out to be really lovely, but they are pretty much ALL BLONDE and look quite similar and I forget names and faces even who was where when, which is ridiculous but true and embarrassing. So, y'know, 'duh'.

I'm writing an SGA story for summercon, and I'm actually really excited about it - it's for the 'Blame Someone Else!' Challenge, where someone else gives you a prompt for a story idea they've had that you can blame them for. I got 'John and Rodney decide they should go on a date before just jumping into bed together, the universe conspires against them', for scribblinlenore, and I was a little stuck then I had one of my BRAINWAVES OF DOOM and so now I'm writing it and having fun and I think I'm maybe a third, halfway through?

Today I did basically nothing, anyway. I watched Highlander, the movie version, which I'd never seen before - how can a movie be that watchable and also so awful? As in, God, kill that woman now, she drove me INSANE. All she was there for was for McLeod to shag and to scream at 'dramatic' moments, which just made her sound stupid.

Ended up having breakfast with this random guy who came up and said hi, at first he seemed fine and then it turned out he was a scifi fan and I thought 'cool! finally!' until he started going on about the stuff he's into and I thought 'Oh God, I'm a geek but he is taking it TOO FAR!' I kinda draw the line at scifi/fantasy card game things. I managed to extract myself without committing to anything, at least. Hopefully will not be cornered (this all sounds horrible, because I know what it's like to be 'uncool', but I've decided that that doesn't mean I have to subject myself to torturousness.)

I made this to go on my folder for uni, because as a lot of you know I love to decorate my folders. It's big. Like, really big. So if you want to see it it may take a minute to load. But I hope you think it's worth it. It came out really good :)

It's a McShep (McKay/Sheppard) banner, though subtly so. (As in, no outright kissing or anything... dammit.) A lot of the coolness comes from the texture I used for background, which is by the amazing gender, who makes loads of great stuff. You can see it here. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I made a high-quality png banner to stick on my planner for uni because yes, I am that obsessively fannish. I didn't like the writing all over the front of my planner telling me all about it, so I made McShep, because McShep makes me happy ^-^ It took, like, three or four hours to do. Note the photomanipulation of John and Rodney in the top left corner that turned out really cool *beams*
