Hey, long time no post :) (well, relatively speaking.)

Just a check-in post, really... not a lot going on. I'm in a sticky spot with writing and haven't done any TNT in days. I'm starting to get annoyed at myself. I do this all the time, too.

However, I have been making various graphics things over the past couple of days, for various reasons, so I thought I'd share :D

Okay, three icons (two of which will make more sense - as in any, really - if you've been following the latest MsScribe drama on fandom_wank. I will, however, attempt to summarise.) Three cd-covers.

The 'Princess of the Retards' icon is entirely due to conversations with

dacro, in which I proved that I am not the brightest of lightbulbs. I then claimed to be the Queen of the Retards, she asked if she could be Princess, I made me an icon and her an icon, and here we are :)

The other two have to do with MsScribe. Basically, she's resurfaced - this is the one who was sockpuppeting and trolling all over HP fandom to make herself popular, the one with the huge expose written about her by Charlotte Lennox (which, if you haven't read it, is not only astounding in its amazing detective work, but the story of how far MsScribe went... it's mindboggling. Seriously, read it.) As far as these two go... the first, because apparently she wasn't stalking Cassie Clare, in fact she even lent her her bra at a convention! Wow, that's friendship for you. Not weird at freakin' all. The second, because she refuses point blank to put up a picture of her with her ~~imaginary~~ nanny/friend Clara to prove that she is real and not a sockpuppet, and said something along the lines of 'you wouldn't believe me anyway, so I might as well put up a picture of a Hell's Angel wearing a blonde wig, the outcome will be the same'. Hence the icon :D

These three were made because

rageprufrock was asking on her blog for people to do arty things and make covers for her podfics, which someone is converting to audiobook format. So I figured, hey, I love her writing, I can do it :) And here they are! I strongly recommend reading all three fics, by the way, or pretty much anything she's ever written. Because she is made of awesome. I just hope she likes these. Let me know what you think, yeah?

jaebi_lit, the reader, before going ahead with He's Having His Baby!

Best yet, now that I'm bugging her and there's cover art and everything, Pru has no further excuse not to finish reading Ocean!

Thanks again. Being no artist myself, finding covers is the hardest part of doing audiobooks for me. Of course you'll get credit on the 'books, and I'll be sure to send you links to the DL URLS as they go up.

I'm so glad you like them! (I have to admit, I've been waiting for more Explain the Ocean podfic with baited breath, because it's perfect to listen to when I just want to be quiet and listen.

If you ever need more covers, feel free to ask - I love doing graphics work, but rarely have the excuse.

Pru is getting forgetful in her old age (or is just stretching herself in too many directions at once, more likely).

It turns out HHHisB! already had cover art done by

slodwick that had somehow gotten separated from the fiction and which had totally slipped her mind.

So, with blushes and apologies--and I'm sure you'll be hearing from Pru as well--we won't be using your version for that story after all. The other 2 are definitely still on, though, and I still plan to bug you for more.

That's a shame - though I'm sure it's great art, of course. Don't worry about it. I'm just glad you're using some of my art for it :)

Thanks for being so understanding. It is a great piece, but so is yours; it's more that it came first and should have been with the story from the start.

It's also very funny where yours is adorably sweet, so the two are both quite appropriate, just different. You can see it here if you're interested.

*shrugs* it's just the way things work and should work. I'd expect the same thing if it were me. It is funny, too - great manip :D

Again, thanks for the understanding. It is the way things work, but I know it's a disappointment to create something lovely and then find it's not needed after all. Well, not needed for the orignial purpose, but still greatly appreciated. And still lovely.

Hey! Wait a minute!

I'm a bit slow to think of obvious things: My software allows for more than one picture to be added to the art tab, though only one will show. I'll put both in there, and when I post the story to sgapodfic, I'll announce and credit both so people will know to go look. At least that way everyone will have a chance to enjoy both manips, and even choose one over the other if they prefer--it's just a matter of dragging the preferred picture to the left of the other.

That would be lovely - thank you very much! *hugs you enthusiastically* It would have been fine, but I'm glad to know it'll make it after all :)

I'm sorry my brain works so slow; this should have occurred to me right away. I just recently discovered this option, rather by accident. See, everything happens for a reason.

Now if I can just get an okay from Jaebi_lit to post HHHisB! It's Pru's last one, and I'm itching to get it done!

By the way - do I need a specific program to run the audiobooks? Because my VLC will run the audio, but the cover isn't showing up.

The default program is iTunes. It's built into a Mac, but it's a free download for a PC. You can get it here.

I love all the artwork but especially 'Ocean'. It is pretty and I have to go and read it.
