Ronaldo, you are a little shit. You and Rooney are friends, dammit. Your life in UK football is going to be a living hell until you piss off to Spain. I'm looking forward to seeing how many 'accidents' you have... and how many come from your own teammates, you rat-bastard.

On a different note...

No longer working, as my holiday-cover job finished on Friday. Hopefully I'll get something else, but I only have three weeks more before Lighthouse and then our holiday, so it'll have to be something short. (ie temporary, I guess ^-^)

I've been making loads of icons, and I keep meaning to put them up, but then none of you responded as to whether you even look at them, let alone whether they're too dark, so I kinda can't be arsed.

Thats a bit mean Amy! I mean, look at Hargreaves. His family are english but he was born in Canada and lives in Germany, where he plays football for Bayer Munich. If we ended up playing in the final against Germany, would you be happy if he fudged a penalty purely because he felt he should be more loyal to the nationality of his club than his country?

Enough of this world cup madness I say! On with the Cricket!

Jenny, I'm talking about the part where he deliberately, maliciously and calculatedly tried and succeeded to get Rooney sent off through cheating, not about the penalties. He ran up to the ref and started doing his 'waah, waah, Wayne is mean' dance and blew something that wasn't even a foul into sending-off material. Also, we lost the cricket and the series 5-0.

The slow-motion repeat clearly showed that Rooney did actually step on whatver-his-name-was' groin though, which is a red-card offence. Though I agree that Portugal wasn't very sporting. Especially about 10 minutes after where three of them were pretending to be injured!

I did think one of the funniest bits of the whole game was when that happened and the commentators were trying to come up with all sorts of euphemism for where Rooney's foot landed!

I don't believe Rooney meant to do it, however, which can mitigate the circumstances enough to downgrade the card. The European game is absolutely littered with diving and cheating, which really annoys me and my Dad and sister (the real football fans), because it's just so unsporting! It's not such a problem in the English game because, frankly, we play much more honest football.

I agree that it's unclear whether he meant to do it or not, but I should think in that situation they have a policy to send them off just in case it was deliberate. I agree with the whole "we play more honest football" as well-did you see the number of times one of them pretended to be injured-at one time there were three of them rolling around on the pitch.

I saw the best match ever though a few days ago. It was some time before colour tv and I think it was Chile against Italy-and there were all-out fist fights, people tackling others in the head, rugby-type scrums! It was great :)

I was watching the tennis today and admiring Roger Federer... he is quite nice :D

Rugby is also fun to watch. The Wasps (who are now based in Wycombe) wear the shortest shorts in the rugby league (yay)
