Quadrats, and the standard sizes are 1/2 m squared and m squared. If they ask for a suitable size, half usually works well for any habitat. Remember the bluebells/enchanter's nightshade in Slapton? (Not to mention my fall down the hill and being attacked by brambles. The allmighty GERMOLENE to the rescue, lol)
