Hey, hey, you know you want to, right? Right?

Soooooo... would anybody be interested in going to the sales in London with me on Boxing Day? I know it's not the best day since lots of people do things with their families but I'm basically all booked up the whole rest of Christmas week so it's when I'm going. By myself. All alooooooone.

You know you want to come with me and try on ridiculous things we will never buy and laugh at people with bad taste and find something amazing that turns out not to be on sale but you've already fallen in love with it so you cover your eyes at the till and hand over your card, right? Right?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Since the trains and tubes are off that day, you really convinced you'll be able to get to London on the 26th?

Since I did not know this, no, no I am not.

I don't know all the details about the Tube strike but according to the paper - trains will be down for 60 hours from December 24th (5pm) and December 27th is only running a limited service.

Something to do with a payrise.

The strikes may yet get cancelled if they come to an agreement, but this sucks :( EVERY FREAKING YEAR the trains mess up my sales trip. I just want to go stimulate the economyyyyyyy

I'm just glad they're not (as of yet) screwing up my chances of getting home. If I get stuck in this godforsaken city for Christmas I will go hulk on any train driver I meet.

Why don't you just go to MK?

I'm at my Dad's for Christmas, and it's not really an exciting outing that way. It's more fun to make it feel like a special trip to special shops.

Also I want to be a little crazy and just buy something beautiful but expensive, of which there is a limited selection in MK.

Maybe try somewhere you can drive to then? Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, etc.

I'll be down to essential spending only after Christmas anyway, so it's not something I've put much thought too.
