I HAVE THIS TOO! My significant other is slightly afraid of the tendency, but I just smile and say that I don't collect anything except books and I don't plan to stop, the end! Haha.

I do sympathize with the inability to clean the bookshelf however. Even books that I didn't love the first time I think, "perhaps I would like this a second time?" and read it again!
