Jul. 29th, 2005 08:32 pmWe are the pirates
Who don't do anything
We just slob all day
And lie around
And if you ask us
To do anything
We'll say
We are the pirates
Who don't do anything...
This was one of the songs the American puppeteers played at Lighthouse today. My reaction was something along the lines of 'WTF?'
Don't get me wrong, some of their songs were good, but they were too grown up/evangelical for the kids to enjoy. And so they got bored.
BUT IT'S OVER! Yay! I love and hate Lighthouse, because the kids can be a living nightmare. I love it more when I'm not there, ha ha!
I want a new book. And to finish watching Season 3 of Due South. And to do all kinds of stuff, not least sit around all day and not do anything (like a pirate...)

Jul. 29th, 2005 09:16 pm"What use could you possibly be to my investigation?" I asked again testily, gritting my teeth because I hated the fact that I was arguing with Elliott. "You make plants grow! What're you gonna do, hope they have hayfever?"
There was a flash of anger in those brown eyes at last, and my Libra partner stood up with fists quivering at his sides, wordless, before pointing at my dinner plate with one finger. All my vegetables shot up in a tangle of roots and shoots, cooked or not, making a mess of my dinner that meant I wouldn't be able to eat it at all.
"You," said Elliott in a trembling but emphatic voice, "are a dick, Cal."
A possible scene for my new novel plan! (Everybody say 'yay!') I will hopefully post the opening here soonish for perusal.
