NaNoWriYe

I spent a long time wondering in November, what the hell is NaNoWriMo?

I just found out. And I wish I'd known back then.

NaNoWriMo is 'National Novel Writing Month', in which the participants were challenged to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, with the emphasis on quantity, not quality. It didn't matter if it was total crap as long as you finished.

It sounds like so much fun. Which is why, despite the fact that I should be paying attention to my studies rabidly this year, I'm also going to be taking part in NaNoWriYe, or National Novel Writing Year.

I've already started something that I'm going to keep doing for this until I hit the goal of finishing at least a 50,000 word novel. I don't care if it sucks total ass. I'd like to know that I've finished something that bloody long.

Anyone else who feels like jumping on the wagon with me is totally welcome, BTW. Having writing partners would be amazing, as well as being extra motivation (as you can then ridicule me for not finishing.)

Go on. You know you want to *waves magic fingers at everyone*

Anyone who wants a looksee, ask and you shall find. For now, know only that... IT LIVES!

I'm aiming for 250,000 words by the end of the year. This is just my three-month target!

By the way, guess what? You remember Irith, the book I was writing? In exactly (to the day!) one month, I had written 42,395 words! *coolio*

I think the word counter above is screwed :(
