I totally agree with you on all counts. I LOVED the film and I even now love Kirk (I had always hated him in the series) and now really want to watch the original series and take a deeper look. I really enjoyed Kirk and Spock's animosity and their character growth. I really need to see it again and I need the Kirk/ Spock slash. OMG! Wow! You made me go all squeeish again. Also, was your audience really vocal? I had a fantastic audience so I could giggle and laugh and squeek (not too much) without being hissed at.
