To update from the rather angsty last post:
I've settled down again now. Not great, but not quite so piss-your-pants scared any more. I guess it's a feeling you just can't sustain; once it's gone it's gone, and while you're still scared you can't be that scared for any more time. Does that make any sense at all?

I've done some more writing since I last posted a writing update, but I don't know how many words. 53,000 odd. Not abysmal, but I've definitely started slowing down. I need to motivate myself...
